Using Media in Documents
Yes you can embed multimedia in PDF documents directly. Or you can add the media in the source document and convert it to a PDF file.
To set up multimedia preference, we begin by clicking Edit > Preferences and click Multimedia in the left column to display the options. At the upper section of the dialog box that shows up, click the drop down arrow and choose a player option. The preferences do not identify the versions of the chosen players. Also at the lower portion of the dialog box are the Accessibility Options. If you use assistive devices, enable the appropriate options.
If you also want to know how to manage multimedia documents in Acrobat and define permissions. We choose Trust Manager settings to allow or disallow playing of multimedia content from different sources. Click Trust Manager in the left column of the Preferences dialog to show the Trust Manager settings. At the top, click the Change Permission for selected multimedia player to pull-down menu and choose an option. Below is how these permission level works:
- Always plays content in the player at all times.
- Never prevents the player from being used.
- Prompt asks for a decision when a non-trusted document is open that contains media.
There are other options also like options for playback, such as floating windows or full-screen views which you can choose. After you’ve selected the settings you want, click OK to close the Preferences dialog.
